Kalysis SA, Malaga, http://www.kalysis.com and LOGICO Smart Card Solutions AG, Vösendorf http://www.logico.com have decided to join forces in approaching international markets.
Both companies have gained expertise in the authentication, identity and payment market but have developed products that complement each other. In addition, both companies had different focus concerning regional markets that smoothly get together. While Logico addressed Austria, Germany, Switzerland, Scandinavia, Eastern Europe and the North East of the American continent, Kalysis showed up with a footprint in the Iberian Peninsula, Mexico and Central America, including the broad Latin American market of the USA.
"Our mission is ambitious: Europe is demonstrating its know-how in security and smart cards technologies, expanding globally into a high level of performance and competitiveness" said Diego Antona Archilla, General Manager for Kalysis SA. "With LOGICO we capitalize new opportunities and increase our respective business potential: opening new market niches with complementary offers and sharing commercial plans and strategies. The co-operation model will include production sites, service and marketing facilities, research activities, and even sources of labour, management and capital."

With Kalysis we did not only find a committing reseller for Spain and Latin America, we even found an expert in all the topics we address that has built up a sales structure and personal network in regional areas we have not yet looked for", Wolfgang P. Kalny, CEO of LOGICO Smart Card Solutions AG, is explaining LOGICO's motivation for entering into this agreement.
About Kalysis SA - Kalysis is a company providing secure multi-application platforms for Authentication and e-Payment, based in his own smart card's patented technology. Based in Malaga, Spain, Kalysis has presence since 2001 in México, and since 2003 representation in EE.UU and Central America through its Miami office. After a second round of financing, the revenue forecast for 2004 is about € 4,000.000, reaching 30 employees and new offices in Madrid, Barcelona and Lisbon.
